Deck the Halls~Indie Style FAQ

Hey everyone! This is Taylor, co-teacher of PunkProject's online arts and craft classes and sister of the amazing Katie, author of Punk Projects. I thought I'd answer a few questions about our classes, specifically our holiday class, "Deck the Halls~Indie Style" and give you extra information. If you have any questions please let us know, we'd LOVE to have you join us for this affordable, super fun, online class, starting November 29th!

1. What kind of projects are in the class?

Scrapbooking, papercrafting, sewing (can be done without a sewing machine), painting, altering, and so much more!

2. How long is the class? Are there deadlines?

Each of our classes run for 3 weeks, with a new project every weekday. On the weekends, challenges, inspirational posts, and giveaways are posted! There are no deadlines for completing your projects, this class is totally WORK-AT-YOUR-OWN-PACE!

3. Is the class on the PunkProjects blog?

No, each of our classes is hosted on it's own private blog which is open ONLY to registered students and the instructors. The blog remains up for an additional 6 months after the class so you can always go back and look at your favorite tutorials and projects! Students who sign up are given access to the blog after paying registration.

4. Can I share my completed projects on my blog/website?

Yes, you are more than welcome to post pictures of your super cute finished works, but you must give credit with a link back to punk projects!

5. What are the tutorials for each project like?

Our tutorials for every one of our classes include detailed supply lists, instructions, and step-by-step photos for every aspect of the project, and easy variations for the finished look.

6. The class description says "extra goodies". What does that mean?

For all of our class students we like to provide a little fun surprise so we include downloadable stickers, gift tags, embellishments, etc. The extra goodies for Deck the Halls are are simply adorable holiday-themed decorations!!! We also have a facebook page for the class and a flickr group for students to share their projects if they wish. We have so much fun seeing what our students do with our projects!

7. Why do you teach these classes?

A couple of reasons. we LOVE doing what we do, and sharing with others makes the crafts so much more fun. We are also fundraising for a very special trip. Autumn of 2011 we are taking a three-month cycling trip across America, riding our bicycles 2600 miles from Maine to Florida. We've named this trip "Clam Chowder to Key Lime Pie" If you'd like to hear more about it, click here.

Deck the Halls starts November 29th, so don't wait any longer to register for this very cool class! A sneak peek project list is coming soon! Register Here

Boulder Park scrapbook layout

Here's another layout I've done. I used alot of my new prizes (I was a finalist in Creating Keepsakes Teen Talent contest) on this layout. I cut up strips of paper and staggered them for a cool background.
and so that my pictures would stand out more, I painted some white behind them. Here's a close up:
What do you think?

No Internet

(image via weheartit)
Sadly I have no internet at the house, and wont for a couple more days. Lightning hit a telephone pole outside our house and it fried our internet modem. :(
I just thought I would let you guys know that I wont be on much for a couple of days.
This is what I did without internet:
I drew my friend to look like a borg from star trek. (Seven of Nine) haha.
