Free Downloadable Patterns/Blog Backgrounds

Hey you guys, I was just playing around on photoshop and designed some fun patterns that I thought I would put up here as a free download!

When I designed these I was thinking they would make great blog backgrounds. Just upload one into blogger template designer and set as "tile" and voila!
You could also however use it as a desktop background- just download it and set it to "tile".

Here's a preview of what they would look like as blog backgrounds..

To download them just click whichever one(s) you want below.

Free iphone Wallpaper Downloads from LDC Designs!

Hello Everyone! Lindsay here from LDC designs. I am super excited to be guest posting today because I have some awesome free downloads for you! You may know that Katie does a lot of her own drawings for her blog. Well, a while ago I asked her how she did it and she told me she used a Bamboo Touch. I didn't know what it was so I checked it out, bought one and I've been addicted ever since. I use it for tons of things: random doodling, school projects and free downloads on my blog! Yesterday I thought maybe I could make some iPhone wallpapers and it worked! So that is what I have for you today. There are five in total and you can download them all by clicking the download button below. If you use them come to my blog and let me know! If you don't have an iPhone I have lots more downloadable things on my blog!
Thanks Katie for letting me guest post! I hope you and your lovely followers have a good day! Bye.

Haunted Books Decor DIY

Hosting a Halloween party, or maybe you just like to decorate for Halloween? These haunted books would look great on a side table.

Supplies:
Old Hardback books (old year books and directories are great-no one reads them!)
Acrylic Paint
Faux spider webs (spiders optional)

Tools:
Heavy Craft Glue
Paintbrushes

1. Paint the book covers with acrylic paint, in spooky colors. Paint only the tops and spines of each book.

2. Paint or write "scary" titles on each book. My titles read, "Deadly Intentions", "Heads will Roll", and "Rest In Pieces".

3. Glue books together with heavy craft glue.

4. Wrap spider webbing around books and display!

Recycled Old Book into a Laptop Case DIY

Do you guys remember the geeky laptop case I made? Well, the picture I had ironed on to it was beginning to fall apart, so I decided to make me a new one... from an old book.

I also took pictures while I was making it so that I could do a tutorial for you guys.
My laptop is an Aspire Netbook, which means its small and was easy enough to find a book that would fit it. I don't know if you can find a large enough book for a large laptop, but if you make one of these I would love to see your version!!
Supplies- Felt & Fabric (I used tan so it would look kinda like book pages) an old book (big enough to fit your laptop in) zipper, and some strong glue.
I think I'm going to add something to the front of the book, like a word or something, but I don't know what yet. Any suggestions?

The crazy things I did on our trip..

Went hang gliding.
Walked over 40 blocks in the pouring rain through NYC.
Held a cute baby gator.
Swam with Dolphins.

Haha, Think I'm crazy now? Oh, and while we were snorkeling in Key Largo a shark swam under us.. It was pretty awesome!
