Free December Desktop Background

I designed this fun background for you guys to decorate your computer for December. Have you already decorated your house for Christmas? We already have our Christmas tree up, (we put it up weeks ago!) and stockings, etc.

Three in One

This layout uses pictures from the day my parents and I rode our bicycles through 3 states in 1 day (hence the title) We rode through some of Massachusetts, Rode across the corner of Rhode Island and than into Connecticut.

I hand cut the "mountains" and "grass" out of some scrap paper. I like how it turned out.

Yarn Covered Headphones

The other day I wrapped my headphones in yarn using this tutorial by Lindsay. I love them. Not only does the yarn look really neat, but it's been keeping my headphones from tangling! yay!

Not your Normal Scrapbook Layout

This is a scraplift of a layout I saw in Creating Keepsakes magazine (October 2011 issue, pg 32, if you want to see the original)
The layout that I was inspired by was a 2 page LO, but it was turned sideways so it was vertical. I really wanted to give it a try, and so I decided to give it a go using some pictures from the Smithsonian.

What do you think? Awesome, or too crazy? I'm thinking awesome. ;)
So, do you like to try new techniques when you scrapbook? Are you a traditional scrapper or digi scrapper?

They set a world record of having 661 people dressed as turkeys. I was not one of them. ;)

"Advertising on Punk Projects is a fantastic investment for any indie-biz or indie-blog. Katie does a fantastic job of spelling out exactly what she needs from her advertisers/sponsors, is available for questions, and does a great job of driving traffic to her site--letting the rest of us enjoy the 'trickle-down' of new readers! Her crafty ways are contagious, and I feel my tenure in her sidebar has been well worth everything"  -Kam of Campfire Chic

Sponsor ads are great for someone who is looking to promote their blog and/or shop.
I've also had someone purchase an ad for a friend who had a shop.

By sponsoring me you help me keep doing artsy things and coming up with tutorials to post here on the blog.

Recycled Christmas Decorations DIY

Want the story behind this project? We were out garage-saling and came across this big bucket of Christmas decorations and craft supplies for only $1 (which included this huge stack of felt! so happy!) anyways, there was this strange white table centerpiece, which we would have never used. I decided to take it apart and turn into something else. ;)
I also took pictures so that I could turn it into this fun tutorial.
supplies: Christmas decoration you want to revamp, scissors, fabric or felt, and adhesive.

With the branches that I didn't put into the cornucopia, I turned into a miniature Christmas tree. Here's the DIY.
Have you ever revamped any Christmas decorations?

NYC Scrapbook Layout

I did a 2-pager layout for my pictures from New York City, I don't think I blogged here on Punk Projects about our trip to NYC, so let me just give you the short story--
We took a trip down the entire east coast of the US, and only had 1 day to spend in NYC.

It was pouring down rain that day. We didn't want to pay for a taxi, so we walked
over 40 blocks through Manhattan, in the pouring rain.

It was awesome!

Anyway, here's my layout. ;)

When I first saw this blog post by Kelly Purkey, I knew I wanted to use a map like that on a layout, and I finally got around to doing it! I didn't do the whole USA, just the east coast since that's the only place we went this trip.

What have you guys been doing? Scrapbooking? Sewing? Drawing? Crocheting? a little bit of everything?
