It's week 4 of the Season of Lists in Get Messy.
Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. I am currently on a bit of a vacation, staying with family in Colorado. Usually when I travel, I don't do anything creative besides just drawing. This time though, I brought along my current art journal as well as my sketchbook and watercolors.
I love being an artist.
The page on the left above actually started out much differently. I had pre-prepped some of the pages before I left home and I had layered this one with washi tape and gelli print stripes. But when I actually sat down to finish it and journal, I just couldn't get it to work/flow like I wanted. So I ripped off all of the washi tape, almost all of the gelli prints, and brushed watercolors on top.
The page on the right is so simple and I love it.
There are so many things to be grateful for.
This is the view from where I'm staying. Isn't it just fabulous? It's definitely inspiring my art journal pages and sketches.
