Get Messy Season of Art - Texture

It's a new season over at *Get Messy, the Season of Art 101! So for the next few weeks I'll be working in this Field Notes journal, experimenting with art techniques,

*Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. Our community values consistent creating, encouragement and support and trying new things. We would love to have you join us as a member of Get Messy Art Journal.

This week in my art journal I did some experimenting with texture, at least on this first page. I spread some molding paste on the left, and a sketch on the right.

I love the color green right now, so I used some Tombow Dual Brush Pens to doodle on some ferns as well.

My next page was inspired by my friend Misty. She makes the most amazing collage and paint art. I used oil pastels and gesso for some texture on the left and a galaxy (made with Dual Brush Pens on photo paper) on the right. :)

For my last page I actually used an old painting palette paper. It had such pretty paint leftovers on it, so I adhered it into my journal and added some stenciled ferns.

Have you done any art journaling this week?
