If you're new here, I post recycled Pirouline tin crafts every month! You can find them all here.
Hello everyone, it's time for another fun recycled craft! Since the first day of Spring is coming up in just a couple of weeks (March 20th!), I wanted to celebrate it by creating some Spring like decor!
I turned empty Pirouline cookie tins into mushrooms and I'm showing you how you can as well!

1. Use a large kitchen knife to carefully cut a styrofoam ball in half.
2. Cut tissue paper into 1" strips and glue them over the styrofoam. I tried a couple of different glues and I found the *Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue worked the best for me.
Keep gluing on tissue paper until you have the styrofoam covered. Let dry.
3. Next use hot glue to adhere a piece of felt around the tin. You can also cut a strip of felt and cut slit into it to add as fringe.
4. Hot glue a 1/2" strip of felt around the side edge of the tin lid as well.
5. Apply a generous amount of hot glue to the top of the lid, and adhere it to the bottom of the styrofoam mushroom. Press and hold it until the hot glue dries.
You can experiment with different colors of felt or tissue paper patterns for some really unique mushrooms! I love fungi!
And because you can still pull the lids off, you can store things inside the tins as well. I'm thinking some tasty spring candy (or more Pirouline cookies!)!!
