It is the Season of Color at *Get Messy. So for the past few weeks I've been working in this handmade journal.
*Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. This was the last week in the Season of Color. The 6 weeks always seem to go by pretty fast!
It was a pretty busy week for me, I actually finished editing my first online class with Big Picture Classes, and I am taking over the Get Messy instagram account this week. So very very busy, and exciting, but it means that I only created one page in my journal this week.
I actually shared a process video of this page on the Get Messy Art Journal instagram. I started out with a background of watercolor circles, and then I added some black doodles with a Tombow Dual Brush Pen inspired by techniques learned in the Pen+Ink Class.
My journaling is a quote by Madeleine L'Engle : "Artistic temperament sometimes seems a battleground, a dark angel of destruction and a bright angel of creativity wrestling."
I really enjoyed this season- it was the perfect excuse to add more rainbows and bright colors into my journal. However it will be nice to have that 2 week break, so I can catch up on a few projects!
